The article is about Environment disturbance which the passage defines as the events which occur in nature that cause harm to not only the environment, but also to the organisms living there. The lecture describes the concept of natural disturbance by giving an example of blue grass to explain it.
First, the professor talks about the blue grass which is found in temperate area. The blue grass grows to 2~3 feet. This height has problem for other plants to grow. The blue grass block the sunlight and it prevents other plants to get sunlight. In order to solve this problems, people put cow in and made cows to eat those blue grass. As a result, the amount of blue grass decreased and other plants could get photosynthesize.
