Task 1: If your friend takes a job working late in the night to earn money for a summer trip to Spain, but he goes to bed late and cannot concentrate on the class next day, what advice would you give him?
- I would advice him to drop off from the class. There are two reasons to support my response. First of all, if he cannot concentrate on the class, it is meaningless to stay in class. Class is for the learning. However, without concentration, the friend cannot learn anyways. I will going to be a waste of time. Moreover, earning money for a trip to Spain is very important.These days, people tend to get stressed out. However, trip to Spain can significantly relieve stress if my friend has enough money for the trip.
Task 2: Which one would you prefer? Go to a college in your hometown or go to a university in a new town?
I prefer to go to a college in hometown. I have two reasons to support my response. To begin with, I can save money. If I go to a college in a new town, I have to pay for my own livings and dormitory. However if I got to a college in my hometown,I can just stay at home with my family. Moreover, it is hard for me to adopt to the new environment. Moving to a new environment means I need to form new relationships with not only friends but also neighbors. This can incur cultural clash as people in the new town might have developed their own culture.
