First, giving proper money to children occasionally cause good consumer's habits because limited money can teach children how to make priority among what they want.
So giving children occasional limited money would make them have good consumer's habits.
Second, providing weekly money to children make children know the prices of the products. Until children have their own money, since they have to rely on their parents to buy the things they want and they do not know the prices. In this process, children cannot know the values of products they want. They can know the prices with their own money and furthermore, they can compare the prices between products based on the prices they have known.
