First of all, students who are knowledgeable and competent in subjects like science, technology, engineering and math that are likely to lead to jobs tend to have a better job opportunity and eventually, lead to getting more money than student who are knowledgeable in literature. Money is the most important thing in one's life. There is an old saying 'Money is gold'. This proverb emphasizes the value of money. A lot of money can give people more rest time and time to be with their family. Also, enough money to live on is the most important thing in one's life. And nowadays, company are fiercely competing to hire the employee who have their own ability of technology. For these reasons, I think subjects like technology, engineering and math that are likey to lead to jobs will give my child more opportunity to earn great money that are important thing in life. Therefore, I would make my child focus on subjects like that.
Second, subjects like science, technology, engineering and math can affect the world positively than literature. Technolgy has develop the Robot and IT devices that are useful in our lives. They help us work efficiently and effectively and even save our time. People are living a busy and hectic life and overloaded with jobs to do, therefore saving time means we can do a lot more thing and give time to rest. Therefore, it can improve the quality of living. Also, science, technology make the cure that diminish disease rate, save people's lives. However, literature's benefit and effect in society is less than science, technology. For these reason, I would make my child focus on subjects like science that can bring a more positive effect on planet Earth, and human being.
