1122 ¸ðÀÇÅäÇà WR µ¶¸³ workers – satisfied – many different works or similar tasks

* Workers are more satisfied when they have many different types of tasks to do during the workday than when they do similar tasks all day long.

One¡¯s opinion has the power to shift the paradigm of society. When ten percent of the population holds unshakable belief, and belief will be adopted by the majority of the community. Evidently, people need only one person to change the group of ten, and the ten will change the entire modus of operation for hundreds to shift. The dis/agreement ( agreement OMG ;; ) I choose to make for the topic workers are more satisfied when they do similar tasks all day long during the workday can also change the paradigm. Therefore, I will provide two reasons to prove to change other¡¯s opinions with right reasons. First, this help workers be ranked up in company by enhancing their professional ability. Second, this is the way to avoid stress from too various tasks.

To begin with, workers can spend more time in enhancing their specialized ability for higher productivity by repeating similar tasks. Spending more time in narrow range filed means their faster growth in profession. By getting faster achievement in their work, they can be ranked up much faster than other workers. For example, when my grandfather was a worker in ( +a ) paper factory, he choosed ( chose©ö [tʃouz] OMG! ) to work in a position ( ȸ»ç¿¡¼ ƯÁ¤ÇÑ ¿ªÇÒ/Á÷Ã¥À» ¸»Çϴϱî.. department ¶ó°í ÇßÀ¸¸é ´õ ÁÁ¾ÒÀ» °Í °°Àºµ¥. ¸ÂÀ»±î¿ä? ) which require similar and repetitive work. After just few years passed, he spent much more time in that specific job than others. And he was soon ranked up in his factory. It had such a huge influence on me that I believe doing similar work all day long help ( helps) workers be complimented ( »¡¸® ½ÂÁøµÈ´Ù. Áï, ´É·ÂÀ» ÀÎÁ¤¹Þ´Â´Ù. °°Àº ÀÇ¹Ì °°¾Æ¼ ¡®ÄªÂù¹Þ´Â´Ù¡¯¶ó°í ½è¾î¿ä. ±¦Âú³ª¿ä?  »çÀü ã¾Æº¸´Ï = promote = rise in rank = get promotion = get promoted ÀÌ·± Ç¥ÇöµéÀÌ Àֳ׿ä. ƯÈ÷, ½ÂÁøÀ» ºü¸® ÇѴٴ ǥÇöÀº = obtain(win) quick promotion ÀÌ ÀÖ±º¿ä. ) in his workplace.

In addition, this can be a good way to avoid stress from too various stress. Getting involved in too many kinds of tasks make workers get stressed out. (¿©±â¿¡¼ ¿Ö ¸¹Àº Á¾·ùÀÇ ÀÏ¿¡ °ü¿©ÇÏ´Â °ÍÀÌ ½ºÆ®·¹½º ¹Þ°Ô ¸¸µå´Â Áö¿¡ ´ëÇÑ Áß°£ °úÁ¤ÀÌ ºüÁø°Ç°¡? Çò°¥·Á¿ä. ´õ ¼³¸íÀÌ ÇÊ¿äÇÒ±î¿ä? ) Stress is the major factor that keeps people from being healthy. Many people nowadays are suffering from many problems like mental illness such as nervous breakdown. For instance, when my father was a little child, ( °ø¹é. Ah... ) my father worked as military office ( officer ). He was involved in too many kinds of works to be in good shape. The example clearly illustrates that avoiding stress from too (too°¡ ¿À·Á¸é – too + to ¿ë¹ýÀ» ¾²´Â °æ¿ì¿¡¸¸ ¾²¶ó°í ÇϼÌÁÒ. ±×·³ ¿©±â¿¡¼´Â ¾î¶² Ç¥ÇöÀ» ¾²¸é ÁÁ¾ÒÀ»±î¿ä? ) many kinds of task is possible by doing similar work all day long. (2nd ¹Ùµð ¿¹½Ã¿¡¼ – father ÀÇ Á¤½Å°Ç° ¾àÈ ÃÊ·¡µÈ ºÎºÐÀ» Á¦´ë·Î ¾È½è³×¿ä. ½Ã°£ÀÌ ºÎÁ·Çؼ ¾î°ÅÁö·Î ¸ÂÃç ½è³×¿ä. )

Opinions are the medium between knowledge and ignorance. In such a case, man must struggle to win a tug-of-war. I have written logic of getting high rank in company faster and avoiding stress from too vaious ( varioius) tasks to make my reasoning for the topic that workers are more satisfied when they do similar tasks all day long during the workday. It is time to blow the final whistle.

1122 ¸ðÀÇÅäÇà WR ÅëÇÕ GLASS and birds injury

In the given set of materials, the reading passage and the lecture deal with glass to debate several solutions that responsible business can use to prevent injuries to birds. The reading passage is providing three pieces of evidence to prove its point, whereas the lecturer argues against it by providing three compelling rebuttals.

The reading passage asserts the idea that one solution is to replace the regular, clear glass with one-way glass that is transparent in only one direction. If birds cannot see through a window, the will understand that the glass forms a solid barrier and will not try to through it. The professor casts doubt because birds perceive it like mirrors. But they do not understand mirror. They recognize it as landscape like sky or tree.

The reading claims that a second solution is to paint colorful lines or other designs on regular window glass. Architects can be encouraged to include colorful painted patterns on glass as part of the general design of buildings. The professor refutes the idea because birds perceive the colored glasses as open holes. They possibly try to go through the glasses. Also, the glasses make the rooms inside buildings dark.

The reading points out that the third solution is to create an artificial magnetic field to guide birds away from buildings. A building in a bird flight path can be equipped with powerful electromagnets that emit magnetic signals that steer birds in a direction away from the building. The professor challenges the idea because birds use magnetic field when they travel long distances ( distance). When they go short trips, hey use their eyes and brightness of light.
