First, the goverments today support more money for education than in the past. The world is becoming more and more competitive, and the more qualified people governments and corporations have, the more likely to be successful than other competitors they are. Accordingly, governments have poured much money into educational insititution, which allows people to have more opportunities to be educated. For example, when my father was young, only one of the siblings could study at school. This is because not only was the tuition fee too expensive for my grandparents to support all of them, but also there was limited educational infrastructures. However, today, it is hard to find children who do not go to school, which shows how the opportunity of being educated changed.
Secondly, with the development of technology, people can study with various media. It is true that people living in rural areas had difficult studying with the same conditions as ones living in cities because of the lack of educational institution and materials. Today, the emergence of the Internet and CD-player helps people all around the country study with no problem. For example, when I was young, I had to study only with the textbook, so even though I wanted to study the fields that my school did not teach, it was difficult for me to study by myself. However, my younger syster can benefit from on-line lectures anytime when she studies. This indicates that as technology progresses, people today become more educated.
