To begin with, children should not take music and art classes because they are a waste of time. Children will waste time since these courses have no meaning when entering universities. To enter a good university, children should not take music and art classes. For example, when I was in high school, I decided to not take music and art classes because they hindered me from studying my academic courses. Since the universities I wanted to go to did not require music and art classes, I felt no obligation to take them. I studied really hard and did my best to get into the university I wanted to go to. My friends however, took art and music classes because they thought they would get an easy grade for their academic record. They spent less time on their academic courses such as biology and physics. Unfortunately, they did not do well on their academic courses because they spent too much time singing and drawing pictures. Had my friends decided not to take music and art classes, they would have been able to focus on their studies as I did. This example proves that children should not take art and music classes.
