United States is well-known for heavy smokers. Official figures released in United States show that there are great number of smokers. Interesting part is that most of the smokers answer the questionnaire that they began smoking after watching TV ads. These clarify that TV ads should be prohibited. In order to clarify my focal points, I will deliver details and examples to support my thesis.
First and foremost, TV ads directly attracts young adults to purchase cigarette. In fact, young adults are known as the most vulnerable marketing targets to advertisers. When ¡®M-brand¡¯ cigarette once had the advertisement showing strong and tough cowboy image with the cigar, young adults craved for the cigar since it was the symbol of the masculine.
