The woman's problems is that she got into marine research team but the pay is not going to be enough for tuition next semester. There are two possible solutions to her scenario. The first solution is that she can ask for a raise. However, the competition is so stiff, so she didn't get any recommendation. The second solution is that she can get another job. Then, she will earn more money. However, more works will be too hard for her, so she cannot get more jobs. If I were in her shoes, I would choose the second solution because she wanted to joint the marine research team from long before, so if she really wants to do that into marine research team ....
