In the lecture, the professor talks about why bats hang upside down. There are two reasons why they hang upside down.The first reason is to hide from their predators. They hang up on the roof of the cave or on the trees that they look like a part of the hiding place. The second reason is that it gives an ideal position for take-offs. They cannot fly from a dead stop because their wings are too weak. Also, their legs are very small and underdeveloped that they can't provide necessary speed for the take off. These are the reasons why the bats hang upside down.
