In the lecture, professor explains why bats hang upside down. First, he talks about that it protects from their predator. Because bats are inactive during day-time. They sleep in the isolated spot such as a roof of cave. Second, he explains that there are advantages to take up. They have undeveloped hind leg and weak wings. So they can't gain enough speed to take up. But hanging upside down covers these problems.
