In the lecture, the professor explains the two factors consumers consider when they purchase products. First, professor talks about intrinsic factors. Intrinsic factors mean that perceiving qualities are correlated with aspect of product. She gave an example of purchasing fruit juice to explain that people get satisfied about juices which have fresh colors. Second, she mentioned about an extrinsic factor. It is a a reputation of promoting brand. For instance, even though products are pretty, there is no correlation between reality and expectation because consumers assume the qualities are depending on its packaging.
