According to the lecture, the professor talked about two factors consumers consider when purchasing a product.
The first factor is intrinsic factor. It perceives the quality and the level of how consumers feel after using the product. For example, when customers buy fruit juice, they will consider the color, freshness and the content. Mostly, the experience quality will match the expected quality.
The second factor is extrinsic factor. It deals with reputations of the product. Usually recommendations from others act as cues. For example people will buy juices in fancy bottle which they think it will have a better quality. Moreover, there is no relationship between the experience quality and the expected quality.
