2 types of information cues

There are two different types of information cue, one is intrinsic factor and the another is extrinsic factor. Intrinsic factor is constituted with perceived quality. For example, consumers assume the quality of fruit juice from its color and appearing freshness. After tasting it, consumers would give second valuation which is used to compared to expected quality. Those usually matches up with each other.Extrinsic factor deals with reputation of the product including the price and presentation. A fruit juice package with fancy bottle is one of the example. Consumers would choose that regardless of its expected quality. And in fact, there is no correlation on expected quality and experience quality in extrinsic factor. These are two considered factors of consumers to choose certain product or not.
