1. Name one of the most memorable memory you’ve had with your family.
The most memorable memory I have had with my family is my 15th birthday party. There are two reasons. The first reason is because I received many presents from my family on that birthday. For example, I got a laptop, a dress, and a watch. The second reason is because I ate lots of delicious food with my family. I ate a chocolate cake, a pizza and a chicken. Therefore, the most memorable memory I have had with my family is my 15th birthday party.
2. Which would you prefer: face to face communication or communication through emails?
For me, I prefer face to face communication. There are two reasons. The first reason is because I can get feedbacks or advices from others right away. If I communicate with people through emails, I should wait for them to send back. This can be waste of time. The second reason is emotions can be delivered better through face to face communication. Since I talk with others by looking at them I can see their faces. So I can know their emotions right away. These are the two reasons why I prefer face to face communication.
3. In college would you rather take interesting but challenging courses or boring but less challenging course?
For me, I would rather take interesting but challenging courses. It is because through challenging, I can develop myself. Since I set a goal every day and work hard to accomplish the goal, I can develop myself. Furthermore, the class is interesting, so I won’t sleep in class.
4. Agree or disagree: students of all ages should be able to work part-time.
I agree that students of all ages should be able to work part-time. It is because students can learn lots of things through part-time. For example, they can learn teamwork. By working with others, students can realize how important it is to work with others. Moreover, students can learn responsibility too. Through part-time, students will try hard time to finish the job. This can make students to learn responsibility,
5. What advice would you give to a friend who wishes to take a year off of their college years?
First of all, I will tell the friend to not give up. There are lots of interesting things we can do after we graduate. So it is better for us to finish the college as fast as possible and enjoy other interesting things. Also, I will encourage the friend that if he don’t give up and work hard every moment, one day he will be able to achieve a goal.
6. What is one way of overcoming being homesick when studying abroad?
For me, one way of overcoming being homesick when studying abroad is to contact with family members often. Nowadays there are lots of applications like facebook or kakaotalk that helps people to contact with others even though they live far away. Therefore, people can use these and contact with other people. Then they can overcome the loneliness.
7. Which do you prefer: writing a long term-paper or a public speaking?
For me, I prefer to write a long term-paper than a public speaking. There are two reasons. The first reason is because public speaking is very nervous. Even though I prepared for the speech a lot, it is natural to get nervous when I speak in front of many people. So, by writing a long term-paper, people do not need to be nervous. Secondly, we can easily revise if we write a long-term paper. If we speak, it is hard for us to correct, however, if we write, before we submit we can always do correction.
8. Agree or disagree: government should ban plastic surgery advertisements.
I agree that government should ban plastic surgery advertisement. It is because there are a lot of side effects of plastic surgery. Advertisement usually only talks about good sides therefore, when people see plastic surgery advertisements, they would want to try it. It is important for people to know the side effects of plastic surgery. Therefore, I agree that government should ban plastic surgery advertisements.
9. Name a famous or influential figure who has inspired you. Describe this person and explain why he/she has inspired you.
For me the famous figure who has inspired me is Helen Keller. Helen Keller is both blind and deaf so she had hard time before. However, later she overcome the hard time with her effort. Helen Keller inspired me because through her, I came to know if I don’t give up, someday, I will have a good result.
10. Agree or disagree: famous entertainers and athletes deserve to have more privacy than they have now.
I agree that famous entertainers and athletes should deserve to have more privacy than they have now. It is because even though entertainers and athletes are famous they are still same people like us. Nowadays, famous entertainers and athletes are always with camera so they don’t have privacy. They must be tired from this. Therefore, they should be given more privacy to have a relaxing time.
