First and foremost, considering the benefits on their health, children should play sports for fun. People nowadays participate in sports activities in order to alleviate their stress from the rigorous academic courses. If these people join sports games for competitions, then they are more likely to stress out; competitions usually psychologically burden children because they provide pressures to them to accentuate about winning the game. However, when children play sports solely for fun, they can enjoy without having pressure to win. Eventually, they will reduce their stress. For example, according to the survey conducted by one of the major universities in the United States, over 89 percent of students in elementary and middle school take PE classes, sports classes. These classes provide time for students to alleviate some of their stress from the core subjects such as math and English. They participate in physical activities and have fun playing them. They do not receive more stress by play sports purely for fun. As such, in order to maintain healthy body by reducing the stress level, children should play sports for fun.
