First, young people will waste their time by watching movies and televisions. Since people spend a lot of time watching televisions, they will spend less time on valuable things which are more important for them. Valuable things can be different for everyone, but it is more beneficial than watching movies and televisions for young people. People can have opportunities to learn and develop new skills what they have not experienced. For example, when I was in 8th grade, my mom nagged me that I spend too much time on watching televisions and movies. In addition, she prohibited me to watch televisions and movies. I thought that I need to find something to do instead of watching televisions and movies. I made a promise of reading one book for everyday to myself. It was really tough for few days since I was not used to reading the books. However, I am so glad that I did not gain reading habit too late since reading helps me in various ways. Reading books helped me to improve speed of translation for reading section of TOEFL test. I realized that readings are fundamental element of learning English. This is example clearly shows that young people can spend their times on something else by avoiding watching televisions and movies.
