To begin with, by watching television and movies, young people can gain knowledge. A lot of knowledge from this can be connected to various aspects. These means can let them understand or learn more quickly about various subjects such as history. For example, my friend who is in high school, had difficulty in memorizing about historical figures and how people's life style was. Unfortunately, while we are learning about a history, my history teacher just listed historical periods even without writing on the board. Cannot keep up with what the teacher said, she started to watch movies and tv shows related to what her class is learning. At first, as she did not have background knowledge about this subject, she difficulty understanding a situation of a period. However, after a few days after seeing various kinds of them over and over, she was able to enhance the information about a historical period and got a good grade. Therefore, through her experience, young people can pile up their background knowledge, which can not only enhance one's grade but also help one easy to understand while watching a movie or a tv program.
