There is ongoing debate whether group work is more effective than individual project. In reality, majority of students tend to choose to work alone. However, I strongly believe that group work is more effective than working individually.
First and foremost, when students work together on a project, it is much more effective because students can share their opinions. Other words, they can get better ideas from others. For example, when I was 12 years old, I had a project which was very hard and I was struggled with my project. But my friend suggested me to work together, so I could get better ideas. Subsequently, group work is more better than working alone.
Secondly, group work allows students to achieve communication skills. Group work requires students to communicate with group members. In this progress, students can approve their communication skills. This skill can be very helpful when students get their jobs. For example, when I was working in a company, my boss asked me and other employees for a report. Other employees struggled in communicating and cooperating with each other. However, I was able to easily lead the group and communicate. This was because I did lot of group work when I was a student. Consequently, group work allows students to achieve communication skills.
Last but not least, not only students can give feedback each other but also they can correct each others' mistake. This can lead students to improve the project. For example, when I was in middle school, I had a group work but I could not fully understand. However, my friend gave me some feedback and it was really helpful. This example clearly shows that students should work together.
