alone
First, working alone allows students to save time. Saving time means students can do a lot more things later such as searching more information. For example, when I was a high school student, my history teacher gave us a research project. She told us to choose either working as a group or alone. I decided to work alone to save time. I did not have to set place and time to meet teammates, so that I did not have to waste my time. While other students were wasting time on meeting each other, I gathered enough information to put in my research paper, also, I was able to ask more questions to the teachers. I received high grade of the project, and I submitted my work earlier than others did. Thus, I got higher score than other students who worked as a group. Therefore, my example clearly shows that working alone allows students not to waste time.
Next, working alone allows students to reduce conflict between other students. Having different opinions in a group, students can argue against each other. Also, debating can break the relationship between students and it can lead the students to work on their project slower than before. This is because students waste their time on arguing. For example, last year, I joined a writing club. Students had to work as a group to catch errors of each other. While we were studying as a group, one of my group members and I had an argument while correcting each other¡¯s paper for finding different errors. Even now, we are having a bad relationship because of the argument. This example clearly shows that working alone makes students reduce conflict between other students.
