Topic: Classmates (peer) are more influential than parents to students.
The question as to whether classmates are more influential than parents to students. Some people argue that family has the greatest impact on students. However, I strongly assert that classmates are the most influential for several reasons. First, students spend most of their time with their classmates. It is also easier to open up to classmates.
To begin with, pupils usually spend more time with classmates than their family because they spend a lot of time together at school. As a result, classmates influence your behavior more. For instance, when I was sixteen, I was very shy. However, my classmates were outgoing and they influenced me a lot. I spent a lot of time with them and I became more familiar with everyone. We did a lot of sports and went on a lot of trips. After doing all of these activities with them, they began to rub off on me. I became friendlier and opened up. Therefore, classmates influence you more than your family.
In addition, teenagers usually open their minds up to a peer group. This is because a peer group usually gives positive responds to their classmates and teenagers can trust them more than their family. For example, I always talk with friends rather than talking with my family. This is because friends and I have symphony such as online games. However, my father never played game and he talked about adages. My mother was kind, but she didn’t understand jokes. This was the reason why I was familiar with friends instead of my family. Therefore, teenagers open their hearts to friends.
To conclude, pupils usually play and spend time with their classmates because pupils' parents are always busy and have a job. Thus, teenagers find a person who is free. It is usually a same age group. In addition, pupils can share their stories when they become familiar. This is because pupils believe their classmates more than their family. Though family could be more familiar than classmates, I strongly believe that classmates have the most important influence on pupils.
