AE: When I was in college, I took an economics class. The professor gave students grade such as, pass or non-pass. While taking the class, I did not concentrate on the class. After one year,however, the professor changed the policy. The professor noticed that he will grant students the specific grades according to their academic records. At the time, I was finding a job and the academic records were the most important to get a job. I should focused on the class. Eventually, I could receive the great records and get my amazing job.

TS: Grades enable students to study hard.
ES: Studying hard is possible only when one tries their best in learning. Nowadays, students tend to get a good grade since, it is very important. In order for students to get a good grade, they need to study hard.
AE: When I was in high school, I used to get a lot of stress becuase of my grades. Due to this, I always tried my best in my studies in order to get a good grade. There may be some people who think that grades have a negative effect to students. However, for me grades rather encouraged me to learn and study harder.

In order to get high achievement in grades, students have being motivated to study.

AE: When I was in university, I was taking organic chemistry class and only top 5% of the students could receive an A. In order to accomplish the goal to get A, students dwells on the library in order to excel in the class. I also spent a lot of time in the library to receive an A, approximately 4 hours a day just for one particular subject. As a result, It enabled me to digest better because I was concentrating and tried to excel from the others.

AE: When I was in high school, for example, we did not have any tests or exams in our first year. Most of the students did not seem to focus on their studies. At that time, I could not know if I were on the right track. After our first year, we began to have tests in several subjects, such as math and literature. By receiving grades, I was able to realize the importance of studying everyday. As I result, I could focus much better on my academic course, and eventually got a good grade.

ES: It is the responsibility of teachers to give the adequate level of lessons to students with efficiency.
AE: My math teacher, at my first year of high school, always had problems with his teaching styles. He did not know whether it was adequate for the students' understandings. So he was really depressed. Then he began to give us quiz and tests to analyze our abilities in understanding the materials. After analyzing the grades, he was able to match his level of teaching to the abilities of students. Moreover, he was able to teach much more efficiently. The students could keep up with the class much better than before in a short time, and could receive much better grades than before in their exams. If it were not the grading system, my teacher and students would not have made such great results.

However, after he saw an example that someone could get wonderful job with his academic records, he decided to study harder. This made him focus more on his study other than anything.
