Some people believe that the availability of the jobs is more important. However, it is important to note the importance of personal preference in choosing a major.

It is of a great worth to discuss whether or not students should follow their interests when choosing their major. Some people might think that students should choose their major according to the availability of the jobs; however, I strongly believe that students’ interest should be priority to decide their major.

There can be many values in determining a major. Many consider that one should put their interest first. However, I argue that a student should be most aware of the availability of job market.

But others think that availability of the job is critical aspect. I think that interest is the most important factor in selecting major.

On this controversial issue, I strongly believe that students should choose their majors according to the availability of the jobs for following reasons.

“Just do it”. One of the most famous saying in the world. Some people say that choosing major that has availability is better than their interest. However, following that saying, I think choosing major that student is interested in is better for several reasons.

Contemporary society operates on a logical assumption that students should choose their majors according to the availability of the jobs. It is, therefore, difficult for me to answer the question instantly because of the nature of the problem. However, if I must select within given options, I would agree with the idea. First reason is that students can save time. Another reason is that students can save money. On the other hand, it is possible to think differently. Therefore, the discussion cannot be anymore timelier.

Nowadays, choosing job according to interest or availability of the job is a controversial topic. Some people argue that students should choose their major based on availability of the job. However, I strongly believe that students should follow their interests when choosing their major.

Students should choose their majors according to their interest. Choosing major is first stage of deciding one’s own career. It’s because one should try to take a job which fits his/her interest and it is the only way that one can find job that makes him/her happy. In high school, students have less chance to do so. They study what they are said to do. Going into university, students can decide their major for the first time.

Education has developed through history, and is still one of the major interests people focus on. There are arguments between people about how students should choose their major. Some say that no matter how interested the students are, they have to what they are good at. However, in my perspective, I believe that it is better for students to select subjects they are interested in.

The given question itself is too ambiguous to have a definite answer. Thus, there is no right answer in my point of view, but contemporary society tends to operate a logical assumption that students should choose their majors according to the availability of the jobs. On the other hand, the point of view which opposes the idea of contemporary society can exist.
