TS: Learning history makes students more responsible with their actions.
ES: Teenagers with responsibility tend to work harder on their studies.
AE: There is an example to be specific. Before I learned Korean history, I was totally ignorant about my studies and did not know what to do. However, through history classes in high school, I could learn how our ancestors have lived through hard times and came to understand how important it was to take responsibility, especially in school studies.

It is not important to learn history in the school.

TS: Learning history helps students to feel they belong to the society.
ES: When citizens feel they belong to the society, it is easy to achieve social control.
AE: Learning history in the school, students get to know the history that other people are also aware of. Therefore students and rest of the people come to share the same ideas about the society. This makes students feel they belong to the society. When students believe so, it is easy for them to be close to other people in society. Thus, learning history in the school makes it easy for the society to achieve social control. This is the reason why it is important that students learn history in the school.

DISAGREE
TS- Learning history enables students to experience the past indirectly, thus they can broaden their perspective.
ES- History is a crucial evidence of the past, therefore, students can use those evidence and apply on today.
AE- For instance, when I was a high school student, I was not able to understand why I have to learn history. However, after learning about our history, when I visited other country, I became to compare their history to our history. After learning about history, I could understand modern society too. Thus, I was able to broaden my perspective.

Body1
TS: Learning history in school helps students feel and learn many things needed in life.
ES: History is known to have many crucial sources one can learn. People do not get to know the story of countries but learn many things from the actions and behaviors of countries while they learn history.
AE: For example, when I was in high school I learnd all kinds of histories. I did learn the relationships and attitudes of many countries but, that was not the only thing I learned. Learning history helped me love my country more, and be thankful to my ancestors too. Also, I felt sorry for the countries which were having a difficult time too. While I learned history in school I was able to feel many emotions about many countries. This is why I think that learniing history in school is important for students.

Agree
TS: Visiting historic places is more effective way to learn history than attending in history class.
ES: In the class, it is difficult for teacher to motivate students to be interested in learning history. On the other hand, when students visit the places in person, naturally they pay attention to the events and processes of the historic places.
AE: When I was in elementary school, I was reluctant to take history classes. As it was too boring to learn, I did not review at all. One day, I could have a chance to visit Rome as a travel with family members. I could not only see architects in the city but also appreciate the artworks in the museum. Since then, I had been fascinated by the history of the city. Even though there was no history class in my middle school, I could continue the studying history with pleasure due to my interest.

TS : Students can learn life lessons from history.
ES : Nowadays, it is hard for students to get a authentic life lessons.
AE : There is a specific historic event that I always bear in mind. In 16th century, Chosun dynasty was invaded by Japan. Since Chosun dynasty was not prepared for war, it had no choice but to defeat the war. Before I learn this in high-school, I thought little of national defense. Now, I strongly believe that it is very important to defend a country. I think this can be a valuable lesson to any student in the school.

It is not important to learn history in school.

TS: Learning history in the school makes students understand history in narrow.
ES: Students receive other people idea without any doubt. In addition, history can be interpreted by various versions.
AE: For example, because students have yet to develop their perception about what is right, teaching them history in the school could make serious issues. When I was a middle school student, I knew that some president in my country was a good leader through my history teacher. However, I could determine that the president never help my country economy through various media when I was adult. In addition, since there are diverse versions of history, students enable to broaden their thought outside school. For instance, internet provides a lot of opinions about history and students can interact with other people. Students can ultimately develop their ability of interpretation for history by themselves.

Agree (not in the school)

TS: Learning history in the school makes students feel less responsible for their nation.

ES: Irresponsible students let the politicians do whatever they want.

AS:
For example, I did not have respect for my country while I was studying history in the school, since the way I had learned history in the school had always focused on the memorizing the textbook.

That was not something motivated to get to know more, so I had concentrated on only artificial sentences as long as written in the textbook.

However, I got really shocked after I visited the museum.

There were a number of pictures and documents which existed at that time.

I could even get more detailed and descriptive information from such as the diary which the hero actually wrote.

As I took a close look in history, I found that the great sacrifice that our ancestor made the country successive till now.

So from that moment, I have felt more responsibility than before and tried to participate in political events much in active.

Disagree
TS : Students can learn from history.
ES : History is the story of how people lived in the past. So, it has so many various examples that students could learn something.
AE : To be specific, the story of Pandora Box could be an example. In the mythology, Pandora lived with one of gods. In her house, there was a mystery box that should not be opened. However, Pandora could not endure and opened it. There were all kinds of bad things in it. Consequently, all bad things flew out of the box and covered the world. From this story, students could learn that they sometimes need to endure their curiosity. Like this, history tells life lessons to students.

Disagree
TS: First of all, History requires detailed education.
ES: History is known to be fundamental knowledge since it gives foresight and wisdom to humans. However, in order to understand the broad concept of history, there should be proper education to people, and school gives specific teachings to every student.
AE: For instance, I could not learn history in school properly because I moved a lot through many countries. And when I joined the company, they required employees an ability to foresee the outcome when we are working on a project. However, I lacked this skill since I did not had that kind of skills. My fellow workers suggested me to read history book, but that did not help me, for I could not understand the whole idea of it.
Therefore, to understand history wholly, people need to have proper education in school.
