i mean, it didn't accomplished anything thati initially promised right? to slove this probelm they reintroduced wolves into the park in 1995 their idea was not very complec since the whole dilemma started with the disappearenace of wolves they simply wished to reverse the precess and how exatcly did that affect the elk's behavior? well think about it the main reason for the increase in the elk pophlation was the disappearance of the wolves right? now that the wolves were no longer absent from the park the balance in the food chain was re established due to this the elk needed to make behavioral cahges to minimize their rish of predation for example they became more nimble and attentive ahnd tbheir activity range was once again restricted to areas where they could easily spot wolves from a distance these forcibly imposed restiction onthe elk's range of movemnet tno longer allowed them to hinder the maturation of the seedlings everyrhing returned to the way it was and the ponce lost biodiversity was restrored
